  • Q and A Bathroom Remodeling in Charlottesville, VA

LINKS on home remodeling:

PLANNING home remodeling: Grab some paper, and sketch your room in pencil or use online sketch tools, apps.

Start by penciling in room dimensions to scale, such as 1/2"=1’. Now fill in the fixtures. Put in doors, windows and closets. Visualize how it could look. Perhaps you have a photo of a friends bathroom, or a hotel or restaurant powder room you like. It might help to stand little cardboard walls around the layout for size. These dimensions will be helpful as you shop for items like vanities and toilets. We can help you order a custom vanity to get the best fit in nonstandard spaces. Plan for storage and outlets too. DeBow Home Remodeling service area is 10 mile radius around the UVA Rotunda in Charlottesville, VA (so neither Crozet nor Ruckersville).  We sometimes use Zoom meetings for initial contactless-consult if possible for clients.

"Projects That Pay
Not all remodeling projects are created equal. "People buying a house look first at kitchens and baths," says Kermit Baker, director of the remodeling futures program at the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University. So while these rooms can be the most costly to redo, they're more likely to pay for themselves."
